Thrums ... By being "selective" on the cottons chosen, I think your friend could avoid the issues of which Tartan is concerned and have some fantastic and fun scrubs. To say the least about unique and personal!!!

She would want to avoid choosing the thin/cheaper cottons. However, there are so many sturdier ones that wash and dryer-dry almost wrinkle free. Depending on her personal fussy-ness towards perfect-press, whether she would want to press.

As for the cost .... as with most clothing, sadly, home-mades become more costly than the pre-mades.
