Thanks so much everyone for your input on ironing and stains. My friend is a PT so blood and other stains are not a factor. I myself wear only cotton and linen so ironing is not an issue. I'll pass on the information. :0)
PS One seam leads to another.... I found an easy beginner quilt kit on sale at Craftsy to give her an opportunity to try quilting.
