You took the pink put and added in the yellow. It looks fantabulous, even though, seeing it all, the pink would have worked too.
I'm with those who think one small white border would be good, same width as all the bricks.
Whatever quilting you do, I would err on the side of something rounded, although I've seen many people do SITD on quilts like this and they look great.
