I finished LJDugas' ballerina block today. It was a battle to the death, nearly mine! If I do this block again it will not have a one piece center, I think w/o that whole center the block would have been easier. I am disappointed w/ how it turned out. It is a variation of wedding ring block. I didn't end up using the white background like I thought about, b/c I found that amazing grey ombe'd fabric, so I made the background pink.
That's a great block even though it gave you a lot of brain work on the center. LOL Sometimes the brain work makes all the difference and I don't think it would be as nice had you pieced that center. This is where thinking outside the block really pays off.
