I tried this stitch on a twin quilt. On my janome mc 10001. With a walking foot on. If I'm remembering correctly it went back and forward. And with the weight of the quilt, even doing straight stitches across put a lot of pull. Maybe it was the walking foot with the stitch. I wasn't giving up the walking foot. I ripped a lot of stiches out! I just prefer regular stitches. Or heavy thread. Maybe be ok on something smaller. Take a quilt to the dealer and try it.
