UFO FINISH! I was looking in a dresser for a place to put my strip pieced blocks and, much to my dismay, I found another UFO.
. I had cut a variety of 2.5" strips and then subcut them into random 2 to 10" strips. It was supposed to be another Scrappy Fence Rail quilt top with lots of pinks, purples, flowers, etc. I had just finished a top in this pattern a few weeks ago with darker colors and I wasn't ready to make another one so I decided to repurpose the fabric. I had a picture of a quilt with strips and orphan blocks so I made a top based on that picture. I enlarged the orphan blocks to 16.5" so 8 strips of 2.5" would fit the sides.
I cut the pieces several years ago. It was a time when I started several quilts and didn't finish them. Now I am paying the price of 'catch-up."
The quilt top was donated to my church group this morning and they will finish and donate it.
