Cut 4 x 6 background fabric (black), cut 4 x 6" piece of peltex (middle), Cut 4 x 6 light colored fabric for address side (white)

Lightly iron background fabric to one side of peltex. Don't press too hard as other side of peltex will stick to ironing board

Cut shapes out and iron to background. Stitch down (optional). Use a light colored bobbin thread so it doesn't show on backside of peltex.

Iron light colored fabric onto back of peltex. Now you can press firmly adhering all together.

Stitch around edge of postcard to finish.

Draw details on back of card. Draw a line down the middle to separate address side/message side.

All done! You made your first postcard.

This card requires a 65 cents to mail. If you put it in a clear envelope, you must put the stamp on the outside of the clear envelope. The post office will have to hand cancel the envelope. You can also slip it into a regular white envelope and mail that way. I do not put embellishments that stick up on my postcards. I don't want to be responsible for breaking a machine at the post office.
