Question Too much information?

My neighbor asked me to make and embroider a baby quilt for her newly adopted grandson. She wanted me to embroider his full name and birthdate on the quilt. She picked out fleece, and it will be double layers, about 45x49", so fairly big. I may have been watching too much bad news, but is it really a good idea to put that much information on a baby quilt or am I way over thinking this? He probably won't be carried around in it. Little guy was born July 4. Also, name in a corner? Facing in or to the outside? It will take less time to make the thing than I have spent thinking about it. Thanks for any feedback.
