I make many baby quilts as gifts, almost always the parents or relative requesting the quilt want the full name, birth weight & length & parents names on the label. Since the quilts are mostly used in the home or if out in public wrapped around the baby so unlikely the label could be read by a stranger passing by I feel it is ok. I put the label on the back of the quilt.
We have an adopted grandson, the most special precious child ever, plus he was born on my birthday!
