My niece's daughter just got married, both going to school, I doubt they spent much more than $500.
1995, we spent about $2,000 on my daughter's wedding, VERY DIY (well, more appropriately do it myself). The wedding was in a conference center with full wall of windows as the backdrop looking out over a creek & some wooded area scheduled to start @ 630pm in Nov. at 6:32 the Good Lord gave us a pink golden hue over the whole room with a million dollar sunset! You just can't plan that part!
