I would outline quilt each SBS and then follow the crosshatch lines in the white fabric behind them. I would use Gutterman hand quilting thread in white or off white. I might do a a diamond cable down the sashing. Lovely SBS!
That was going to be my suggestion, follow the lines of the background fabric. If it is too close together, maybe every other line. Also, the band in her hat and the inside or outside of her arm. I would also recommend wool batting. It really does make a difference.
