I got a free pattern from McCall's. You can just down load it and print it. There is some paper piecing (the arcs)

Suggestions: take your time LOL ... I am a "fast" quilter, and this was one that I absolutely had to take my time with. Make sure your seams are perfect. I learned how to sew curves with this quilt!!! Did some practice arcs before I went to work on the actual quilt itself. I also practiced sewing a whole "block" together to make sure I understood how to do it.

There were many moments that I am pretty sure I was teaching my parrot some new words, but once I got the hang of it, assembling it all together was quite easy.

And I have to admit, when it came time to sewing the last batch of squares together and laying it down to iron, I was so impressed with myself, it was amazing LOL ... I was jumping up and down for joy that it was flat!

The McCall's pattern is quite large. This quilt is only 9 blocks, and with the border measures about 60 inches square
