I agree with "use what you like, not what 'they' like." I love traditional quilts and traditional fabrics for quilts. When I began quilting my goal was to make as many traditional blocks and designs as I could. Well that was an impossible dream. I keep getting caught into the "trap" of new designs and some new fabrics. My mind is as messy as my sewing room. But I DO like calicos and Civil war repros. This has been an interesting thread.
