What a beautiful top. I'd ditch around all the small squares, by working my way up one side the diagonally and down the other in each of the V's. Then i'd find something to do in the spaces between. FMQ feathers would be my first choice, but straight lines that meet in the base of the V's would be equally effective. Best of luck on quilting.
This is exactly what I would do. Plus, there are some really pretty feather stencils that you could apply in doing the wider, space area in between the tiny squares.
