I have a chest something like that but it has a rounded beveled top. Bought it at a quilt show and got a very good price because he was selling some of his samples. I love it and so does everyone who comes into my house and sees it. I never thought of opening it to air it every now & then. Thanks for the tip. I'm going to be sure to do that in the future. I also have 3 quilt racks and a ladder to display my quilts. Not to mention every sofa and chair that has a quilt draped over it. Anyone who comes into my house knows there's a quilter who lives in this house!
