Mermaid I am first and foremost a Brother gal, I own around 25 Brother machines including an ancient Brother PE200 embroidery machine that runs as well now(after I repaired the damage caused by previous owner using the wrong bobbin in it) as it did when it was new. I bought my first embroidery machine(MC200e) from the Janome dealer because I didn't like the way I was treated at the Brother dealer. I was then sold on Janomes because of the machines themselves. I do know that the Brothers are every bit the work horses that the Janomes are. The PE770(and its' twin the Designio 820) are very good machines.
