Instead of using graph paper, I would put the center panel on the floor, if this is your design wall. Then I would cut pieces of paper out of the size of each of the other parts and lay them around the center. Then see what kind of sashing sizes you could need to connect all of them. Or, lay out all your parts of fabric on a very large piece of fabric and applique them down. You can use steam-a-seam lite (if it is still available) and iron the pieces on the backing fabric. Then use a blanket stitch to overcast and finish the edges.
