One of the most incredible coverlets I have ever seen was made using yoyos and sewing them together on the four compass points. It was done with random colors and had a solid color (deep green) that was tied to the backing creating a little fuzzy center to each yoyo in yellow wool yarn. The background showed in the little openings between the yoyos. The whole effect was a flower garden. It was made by a man for his wife. Beautiful , and a thoughtful gift.
