My husband likes to eat his meal sitting in his rocking chair in the living room, so I serve most of it in a bowl with one of these bowl holders. It takes him longer to eat now, so the bowl holders keep it hot longer. Then I take another bowl and another bowl holder and join him in my chair.
Of course these need washing often, so we need to make a stack of them.
