I live in the Verde Valley and Cottonwood old town is great to visit and Jerome is miles up about 7000 ft and it use to be a mining town and now is is a tourist town. A lot of the houses are built on the side of the mountain and are old. The haunted hamburger is one place to eat up there and you can see the whole vally. Lots of history like it used to be a ghost town. It is worth seeing and is about 20 miles from Sedona. We have a nice quilt store in Cottonwood on your way to Jerome.
