Actually I have seen alot of more muted quilts lately, so you are up to date! Call it 'low volume'...and no making excuses! You don't need to apologize EVER for your fabric choices. If someone else has a problem with them, its THEIR problem (can you tell I have had someone tell me my choices were WRONG?...um no, they are not WRONG, they are MY choices...)

I am very impressed with your color choices and your piecing! You can take yourself off the 'new quilters list"

PS Pick your backing when YOU are ready! If you see one you like, go for it! Sometimes I pick mine before the quilt is even started. Sometimes i piece one as I piece the quilt...and sometimes its an after thought. I just bought a backing for a mystery quilt...before the mystery started. Then I changed my color palette and that backing is ...well going back on the shelf! Ha!
