If you want to learn multiple techniques I would suggest the free block of the month classes starting with 2012. Some of the years have more than one. #1 They are free, so if an instructor's teaching style doesn't work for you, you just move on. But be aware Craftsy is very good about exchanging a class if the one you purchase doesn't end up being what you needed or you have some other problem with it. #2 if a certain block isn't a technique or style you are interested in learning you just skip and go on-you don't have to make a sampler quilt, you can use the blocks for pillows, table runners, bed runners, etc. Beyond that it depends on the techniques you want to learn, so instead of searching "quilting" search what you want to focus on: appliqué, paper piecing, free motion quilting, quilting with your walking foot and so on. Watch the free intro video, look at the class reviews etc.
