I have the Janome 11000se and I love it. But I have a great dealer that is willing to work with me on repairs...it is very user friendly and I didn't have any problem learning machine embroidery with it. The 11000se is considered to be one of the workhorses of the Janome line with very few problems but yearly maintenance is necessary. I put many hours a day on mine!
