Zennia, I've tried it, too. I'm right handed and had no better luck. When I was a kid my Great Aunt Bertha used to tat so fast you couldn't see her hand. She made hankies and sold them for $1 each all proceeds went to missions. She tried to teach me once but her hand kept moving... I never did learn a thing from her. My mom said she had no better luck. A friend sort of showed me how to needle tat. I think I kind of get it now but I needed more time sitting next to my friend. It really helped to use string so I could see it but it also needs to be somewhat smooth so it slides nice.
