Yes, I have a Singer slant walking foot, probably from the Touch and Sew era, and it works great! I am not sure that a walking foot was ever made specifically for the 301 and its feed dogs, but this one works for me. I have the 301 sitting at the end of the dining room table with a chair to the left. The table is slippery and allows for the quilt to keep pushing ahead. The chair is helpful when there is drape to the left. I don't find that the throat of the 301 is too small, but I don't do huge quilts either. The 301 can drop its feed dogs, but I have not tried free motion with it.

I also use the Pfaff 130 for some quilting. It is in a cabinet up against the wall, and the bulk just doesn't have anywhere to go.

I had a 503 Rocketeer once, but right now I don't own anything newer than the 1958 Pfaff 130.
