great minds think alike! I did snowflakes on the Frozen quilt that I made too!
I am far from an expert and my snowflakes may not be the best - but I will just echo what others have said.. no need to be continuous line and the type of batting will be important. I used the warm and white that allows quilting up to 10" apart. Its been 2 years and so far so good batting is behaving
