That's very helpful. I didn't realize that setting on point would make the background color half of the quilt. I don't know if I want it to be light or bright. My ideas aren't really clear, and I guess it's because it's really my first scrappy type quilt. I just want it to flow together without one color taking over the whole thing. I would love it if it looked very 1930's scrap style. I just don't want to hate it when I'm finished. Ha ha

I understand what you are saying about your stash and it affecting your colors. It's great that you caught it early enough. I think I've changed into using more white, which is what I was planning to use to set the blocks. I'm not sure I'm going to continue this. I just really like the blocks better when they have more negative space / white in therm. I think it's Patchsmith? blog's blocks. They are infecting my eyes
