I have made close to 100 so far and I really don't like using the foam. It is very difficult to turn rightside out. If you use the foam, it is easier to use the method that has you sew all the way around, cut a slit (you have attached the foam to the 'frontside') and pull it thru. In this version, you need to applique over the slit. I like a heavy interfacing and sew leaving a small opening. I have a hemostat that lets me pull the fabric rightside out very easily. I usually have a bag with me with a lot of squares and whenever I am waiting somewhere, out comes the hemostat and the bone tool and I turn and push. I then topstitch about 1/8" in whether I am using a banded version or a plain solid version.
