just wanted to add, I've done them with different themes on front and back. for little ones I've used fleece and made appliques for texture and put on them. I've also seen them done in the shapes of animals. Last yr there was a turtle shaped one at the quilt show. Come to think of it, a rag quilt would be great shaped like a Christmas tree. You could add little blocks and make it an advent calendar. Ok, I need to stop. I'm at work and now all I want to do is go home and create.
