Sounds like fun, like to see the progress as you go along.
For the 6" blocks I'm using a small light colored piece that reminded me of fabric my mom would have used for her house dresses or kitchen aprons...she was in her mid 50's before she wore slacks...it's been a joy using fabrics that correspond with her life. The 12" blocks I'm featuring a blue and cream background using only shades of blue and tans in the blocks...equally challenging. I haven't taken any pictures yet. It has been fun to see what other guild members have come up with, too.
