I use thin slivers of soap for dark fabrics and a "General's Sketch & Wash # 588" for light fabrics. I also use a soft brush used to clean white wall tires that has a water/soap well and wash immediately after quilting for an hour or two and wash my marks away. You can get the General's Sketch & Wash online only. Go in with some friends and order a box to save some on shipping.
