I bought the Innovis 1250D 4 years ago. The 1400e seems to be the latest version of this level machine from Brother. This machine has some nice features and does quite a bit. Unless you are going to be doing a lot of embroidery this is a good choice. Lots of stitch options, auto-thread, auto-cut. It's sturdy and a good value. I own three Brothers and they all have in common that the drop-in bobbin is picky. For value and features this is a good choice.
