the 8200 is also excellent. just not as many accessories; fewer stitches; and [i think ... not sure ...] top speed is not as fast as the 8900. the dual feed mechanism on the 8000 series is waaaaaay easier to use.

Great Advice! On the 8900 you can snap on the feet (1/4 inch, in the ditch, open) for the acufeed foot. On the 7700, you need to unscrew the entire foot. Also on the 7700 you need to unscrew the needle plate, on the 8900 it "pops" off.
