butterlies
[ATTACH=CONFIG]565193[/ATTACH]this is "Butterflies" made for my BFF's newest granddaughter born October 1,2016. Little Danissa weighed 4.5 lbs at birth so I nicknamed her "Thumbelina". Her Mom left it up to me regarding color choices and pattern. BFF loves butterflies so had to incorporate them into design. I downloaded pictures of butterflies from internet coloring pages and embroidery sites. they are hand embroidered in pink and blue on the plain white squares set into Jacob's Ladder quilt pattern. It is quilted SITD with butterfly motif in wide scalloped border. First time i have done scallops on a border but i think they turned out pretty good. BFF,Mom and Dad all love the quilt---little Thumbelina just snoozed.
