My Grandfather's Father was a baker with a shop in Pawtucket RI in the late 1800s. I have all of his decorating tips and recipes but have had them for ages as they were in my mothers kitchen. These were obviously manufactured (not roughly hand made) and have a wonderful patina and feel. After some thought I think these came out of a small wooden cigar box
not the hankie box (I was unceremoniously dumping things out to see what was in each - lol) and were with things like button hooks and other odd ball things. I am guessing that little cigar box originated from my Grandfathers bureau.
Thank you all for your input - I am pretty confident I now know what they are.
