I made a sewing table using an IKEA table and love it. I got the basic directions off the internet and then modified it a bit to suit my machine. If you can use a jig saw (and I used a router to finish but you can do it without) an a screwdriver and wrench it is doable. My machine came with the acrylic extension. If yours doesn't have something like that then just cut the hole to go around the machine. Here's a link to the tutorial
