I love it when my quilts are appreciated as well. It may not have been one of my better ideas, however, many years ago I hosted our bi-annual family reunion, requested fabric from family members and began making quilts. The first quilt was won by my oldest brother, and the quilt is one thing that everyone looks forward to, besides getting together again. Most of the reunions are held in the Midwest and I live in MA, having moved from NH about 6 years ago, so I don't make it to a lot of reunions, however, my quilt is always a guest. I once saw a picture of one of the first quilts I made, however, my nephew and his dog were using it as a blanket on the floor. Well, once it leaves my hands, I have no control over how it is used. Oh well. I'm hoping that one year I can win one quilt back into my family, we'll see if that happens.
