For quite awhile, I posted on the Secret Pal thread every month and included pictures. Now I let Lori know when I've sent and received my SP package for a couple of reasons. I'm not into all the chatter ((nothing wrong with it, just not my thing)) and occasionally, I re-gift items and probably receive re-gifted items which is fine with me.

I figure, if I can't or won't use something, I'll send along to someone who might.
