I have to admit, I'm easily seduced by sewing machine sounds. I will watch a sewing machine video about a technique I have no interest in if I happen to like the way the sewing machine being used sounds.
Have you heard the sound a Singer 66 treadle makes? Just 'tickety, tickety, tickety'... totally hypnotizing. So quiet yet precise... and no motor noise to compete with the mechanical sounds. I just love mine. The bobbin winder on them is like a fine clockwork mechanism.
