I would have to see that. I'm using an old pink Elna ZZ & SS right now. Elna's are a bugger if the thread jams. Yes they only go back together one way. I wonder if you busted a gear below when your thread jammed... those can be pricy to repair ask me how I know. If it is a busted gear, the machine will feel like it has some gravel stuck down there somewhere - exaggerated. It also sounds crunchy.
