If you're getting a "v" in the middle of your strip, perhaps you don't have your fabric aligned properly......not sure if I can explain this.....fold your fabrics wrong sides together, selvedge to selvedge.....then slide the side closest to you right or left until the two pieces lay flat together without a "wow" in them......then lay this flat on your cutting board.....straighten the left side of your fabric & then slice your strips......I'm sure there must be a video out there on this technique...have you tried searching on youtube?
