I also use a fitted sheet but I add velcro to both the sheet and the dust ruffle so I can remove it to wash without having to move the mattress to take the fitted sheet off too. I also make each side of the dust ruffler separate as you will find it gets pretty heavy with all those ruffles and if you have to press it afterwards, its easier to press. Just my take on the subject.
