I recently had the same problem after I had quilted 2 rows - fairly heavily. I have so say I ripped out everything (I used an electric razor type ripper) and it worked pretty well. I reloaded the quilt and it's now down and I couldn't be happier. It was well worth the time it took to rip it out and fix it.
