i might not always get enough sleep but that's from working (3) 12 hour night shifts a week ( during the wee hours and breaks I hand sew, trace out appliqués or do prep work- keeps me awake.
I trouble shoot, plan and work out designs in my sleep
I always take time for meals and always take breaks. My family says I'm the ( timer queen)
when im sewing/ quilting on days off I set a kitchen timer or my alarm for 45 minutes, when it goes off it drives me crazy if I try to ignore it. I stop- no matter where I am in my project. Go get a drink, a snack, start laundry, check emails, what ever- minimum 15 minutes before going back to sewing room. Keeps me fresh, productive and no backaches, shoulder or knee issues.
When there's a good movie or program to watch with hubby I always have hand sewing to work on.
Its all a matter of time management and organization ( and having a deadline really keeps me on task)
