It was a used piece of Velcro and didn't look sticky. I'd never ask any machine to sew through an adhesive. Only the needle was gummed up and I threw it away, but it must have been the jam that bent the top of the slit where the bobbin thread snaps in. I'll keep your donor machine in mind if we can't straighten it. At least it's an easily removable part. Is your donor the light blue 62C? Regular Velcro is no problem.
