I started to go grey in my teens...I had very long (to the backs of my knees) dark brown/black hair and started colouring it at 17...over the years it gradually got a little shorter then at 30 I had a major life change, stopped colouring and cropped it short. My husband cuts my hair with clippers and I take care of the fringe...I have a kind of pixie cut, which seems to work and the colour is salt-pepper with a broad streak of white (would be very Lilly Munster if it were long again!). I find not colouring, not going to hairdressers and not even owning a comb very liberating.
I have had many people ask me where I get my hair done and what colour I use...so I'm guessing it looks ok.
