Like others, I started well....

-bought a fun turquoise journal to record all the details
-had a blog at one point that I kept regularly, including pictures and feelings during the process of making the quilt
-used my best handwriting so that my offspring would have something personal and very legible when I'm gone

but then....

Reality Me took over where Fantasy Me left off.

The journal was too small.
I made calculations willy-nilly/chicken-scratchy as I designed and planned--so it's a testament to my difficulty with math.
All my photos stayed on my camera, undeveloped.

I was having more fun making than documenting. Or I'd be up against a deadline and finishing the label and wrapping the gift with no time to write all about it.

Then I'd move on and ----fwoop!---there they go! All my good intentions.
