Thanks for all the suggestions and input. So with ya'lls help I've decided to go white around the pp'ng and will go with an old gold in the pp'ng. I may even put a little gold inside the red big stitch stars, we'll see. Need to the gold, but started on the white since I have some. Hope to finish end of month. Once again thanks for the advice.
