If you can't make it to the meetings then definitely try online. I find I do much better going to the meetings. I am not disciplined enough to do the online by myself. Try the online version and see how it goes. i have a hard time fitting the meeting into my schedule. I drive a ways on Saturday mornings to fit it in. I also find that once I go home I don't want to leave again. I go to the gym on Saturday morning and found a meeting time that works right after that. If I could do it on my own, I wouldn't have this weight to lose.
