One thing you might do is google '4-patch posie quilts' and look at the images. I did this when I was working on my 4-patch posies, to see what I liked and didn't like about the choices people had made. (In general, I thought people tended to go too bright with the frames and cornerstones, taking attention away from the blocks.) My eye has to work pretty hard to look away from the bright red you've used. I would suggest taking a longer distance photo; that's always a big help to me in determining overall effect.
